Computerization at Govt medical college thrissur started in 2015 funded by the MPLAD scheme of Sri. C . P. Narayanan, Rajya Sabha MP under able guidance of Dr Binoj R (Additional Professor of Orthopedics). IT Department is working 24 hours since then.
Starting from OP ticket printing in 2015 under eHospital , OP ticket, Admission, Billing, LAB Reports, PACS, queue management etc. have all become completely computer based from 2016.
Server room and console room of IT department are functioning on the ground floor in C & F block.
Since 2022 December 26 the IT team shifted to a eHealth programme promoted by state government. Entire eHealth modules - Registration, OP, IP, Billing, Casualty and Records Library have been brought under eHealth.
