Overview & History
Department of Gastroenterology was started in 2000 and it functions under the department of Medicine. The department has 2 sanctioned posts of Assistant Professor. It functions at the NMCH. We do diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies and manage patients with Cirrhosis, IBD, Pancreatitis, Hepatitis B & C . On an average we see around 350 patients on a OP basis.
