Neuroscience Centre of Excellence, Govt Medical College, Thrissur offers advanced Neurosurgery , Neuro oncology, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Spine and scoliosis surgery and Neuro rehabilitation services to of all ages from all over kerala especially Districts of Thrissur, Malappuram, Ernakulam and Palakkad. The working force is one of the finest, headed by Professor & Head of the department of Neurosurgery, Dr Biju Krishnan . Neurosurgery Govt Medical College, Thrissur has come off age with changeover from Brain and spine surgery unit to department of super speciality with quality care treatment under Neurovascular, Neuro endoscopy, Neuro oncology, Spine surgery, scoliosis surgery and Stereotactic surgery.

Introduced and implemented successful public funded “PRANA” project during Covid at Govt.medical college Thrissur, which proved to be life saving for hundreds of patients and a valuable infrastructure asset for Govt medical college Thrissur.

Future projects includes development functioning Brain surgery unit and Neuro intervention unit with establishment of High State of the Art intervention suit in new super speciality block.
